Resource Details

Prescription Assistance Program is available to patients on the Primary Health Care Program. Staff assist patients with obtaining free medications or medications at reduced cost from various pharmaceutical companies.


Basic Needs Program is for the indigent healthcare patients who need assistance with Lights, Water and/or Gas. This assistance is only available to patients on the CIHCP that have a severe medical disability, live alone and have no source of income. In other selected cases, assistance is given on a case-by-case basis.


Patients on the CIHCP are provided transportation, at no cost, to authorized medical appointments to health care providers, and healthcare facilities. In other selected cases, transportation is provided on a case by case basis.


The Jefferson County Pharmacy provides free medication, in accordance with CIHCP guidelines, to patients on the Indigent Health Care Program.


Immunizations provides immunizations to children 18 and under who are uninsured and under insured. The cost is $10 per visit.
